The evaluation portion cements the process as a
fully comprehensive and circular
marketing plan.

In order to evaluate the success of my marketing plan, I will be using a variety of metrics to ensure the plan is giving the expected outcomes. To make sure that customers are receiving the appropriate information or in the near future, I will send them out a short survey. I will be asking students if they read the emails they receive and if not, what stops them from doing so? The email is not interesting? The message is too long? Do they think it’s about something they have already read about and don’t want to waste time reading the same thing again? How interested are they in their oral health? Are they interested in learning more about ways they can improve their oral health? Also, another metric I am planning to use is tracking the sales compared to previous months. This will allow me to see if our marketing plan is working or if we need to reevaluate/form a new marketing plan to obtain our desired goals? It will allow me to see areas of weakness or strengths and I will replan accordingly. Tracking customer volume is also an important metric to use. We want as many students to visit our office and be inclined to purchase an electric toothbrush. If the customer volume is not the point we want to, we can offer new incentives or implement new strategies to increase the customer volume.

If my plan does not go as expected, I plan on implementing new incentives or strategies as mentioned above. I would probably ask advisors or experts to see what I can do to keep the marketing plan on track or overcome obstacles. For example, if a pandemic occurs again, all the classes will be moved online. Which eliminates the purpose of having brand ambassadors, having informative posters hung on the wall, hosting educational classes about what the benefits are when using an electric toothbrush, and students will no longer be able to visit our health and promotion office which will not allow us to reach our intended sale goals. This is when I would benefit from an expert to learn how to keep an online class interesting and keep students engaged.
