Public Relations Plan
Two Media Exposure Ideas
1. Hosting a class and demonstration for the product
2. Brand Ambassadors
One idea that I have for media exposure for is hosting a class and demonstration for the product I am trying to bring attention to. The class would be about the different kinds of periodontal diseases that could develop or potential negative effects because of not brushing their teeth appropriately. Along with this, we will briefly educate them about the different kinds of toothbrushes available and the pros/cons to each and ultimately, why the electric toothbrush (Oral B iO) is better than the rest using evidence-based research to back up our statements. For the demonstration part, we will have a dental typodont where the entire mouth is covered in something similar to the texture of plaque. For half the mouth, a regular toothbrush will be used to clean the surfaces and the other side will be brushed using an electric toothbrush to demonstrate how clean surfaces are left after use of each. The purpose of educating them before hand is to give them a background on shifts their mind to focus on the importance of having good oral hygiene. I believe this is an effective choice because people are able to see the results in person and can ask questions right away if anything comes to mind. With this, I hope that more people are inclined to purchase the product faster.
"promoting our product further than just hallways or buildings

Include pictures/videos relating to your public relations plan - remember to caption them with relevant text to provide relevant context for your audience
The second idea that I have is having brand ambassadors. They would be students that are part of the IU Indianapolis campus because those students would be attending classes with other students that would be interested in learning more about the electric toothbrush. The idea that I have in mind is that they would be wearing shirts with our information and product details that can gain student’s attention. Whether they are walking from class to class, attending lecture, or at the library, they could be stopped by interested students to ask them questions and encourage them to visit the health and promotion office/purchase our product. If they don’t have time to answer their questions, they could give them cards with their information so that they can answer them when they have time available. I believe this is an effective choice for my product because we are promoting our product further than just hallways/buildings. The information is basically walking through campus and therefore could gain more attention than just posters that are isolated to a specific place.
