We hope this overview helps you understand the purpose of our marketing plan
The purpose of this marketing plan is to encourage young men from IU Indianapolis to purchase an electric toothbrush from the Health and Wellness Promotion office. Because men tend to have less favorable oral hygiene habits, they are more likely to develop periodontal disease at a later age which is why we chose them as our target market. Our mission is to promote healthier lifestyles for all students by providing them evidence-based information and sparking interest to improve their overall health through education, teamwork, and accessibility.
After creating our situational analysis and pinning down our strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, we have created a marketing plan that we are confident will help us reach our objectives. Some of them include increasing our male consumer population, improving patient retention rates, and attracting a new, record-breaking number of customers. Through our public relations plan, we plan on educating potential buyers about the benefits of making the switch to an electric toothbrush and having brand ambassadors walk around the entire campus to distribute information about our product in order to gain new customers. Because our audience is young and they are on social media a lot, we plan on posting during “prime times” and using the current, most popular platforms which are instagram and tik tok. When creating this marketing plan, we also took into consideration how much money we would need or spend to implement all aspects of our plan. We plan on doing frequent evaluations to monitor how well our plan is going and to verify if any changes are needed.
